Happy Easter

Worship together with “Oh Happy Day” and watch the video teaching “The Easter Story.”

Family Discussion

PARENT TIP:

Parents, circle up your family and lead them in a brief Easter discussion based on the worship and video teaching. You could go around the circle, asking everyone to answer each question, or you could break the questions up—do whatever works best for your family.

  • What’s your favorite thing about celebrating Easter?
  • Did you learn anything new about Easter from the video today?
  • Read together Luke 23:44–56; 24:1–8
  • After Jesus died, what was done with his body? (It was put in a tomb covered by a large stone)
  • When the women went to check on his body, what did they discover? (He wasn’t there; He was risen; etc.)
  • Why is it so important that Jesus died & rose from the dead? (It made a way for us to live with Him forever; it shows He always keeps His promises, etc.)
  • How does believing Jesus is alive change the way we should live our lives? (It should give us peace, we should walk in the light, etc.)
  • Is there a time in your life when you’ve lived with peace because you knew that Jesus was with you?  Or is there something going on in your life right now that you want to ask Jesus to give you peace about?
  • Close in prayer together as a family–be sure to thank Jesus for the ultimate sacrifice He made for each of you!

Parents:  Has your child recently accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior? Or are they asking questions about what baptism means? If so, it may be time to register for an upcoming Kidfaith!

Kidfaith

KidFaith is designed for parents and children in Kindergarten through 5th grade to attend together and answer questions about baptism.
